Four Ways Wishing Tree is a Giving Tree

Next to parents, Wishing Tree believes that schools are an integral part of a child's healthy development. For 2018, we are giving back to public and private schools through four actions:

  1. Donations

For every week of full-price summer camp sold $50 will be donated to your child's school. Having a silent auction, gala or need to host a large group of children? Let's talk! We are happy to provide gift certificates for parents and volunteers.

  2. Reading Rewards
Wishing Tree believes that the first step in taking action is to know what action to take. Reading is one action that opens a child's mind to the infinite possibilities available to them. Our Reading Rewards program encourages children to read for 20 minutes daily and rewards each child by offering prizes, free playdates at Wishing Tree, and/or pizza parties.

We provide bookmarks that the teacher will punch for each day the child reads for 20 minutes. Every fives punches earns a free prize and 20 punches earns a free visit at Wishing Tree.

  3. Fundraisers
Wishing Tree is fortunate to belong to the active parent community of Loudoun County! We work with parents, K-12 schools, and youth community groups to support your fundraising goals. When you have a fundraiser with us, 50% of the event’s net sales go back to your organization.

Requirement: $300 minimum total sales from your supporters in order to receive a donation.

  4. Children's Business Fair
Wishing Tree is a team of passionate entrepreneurs, teachers, mentors, and parents who want our children to learn about entrepreneurship in a practical and fun way.

Observe the opportunity for children to launch their very own startup business through our children's business fair! Kids develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace

Save the Date! The business fair will be held on Saturday, August 11th, 2018 from 2pm - 4pm at Wishing Tree in One Loudoun.
